Unarmed Guard $18/hr
Armed Guard $25/hr

Responsibilities
•Observe and report suspicious activities and persons.
•Patrol designated areas and routes with checkpoint logs and reporting real time information
•Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property.
•Reporting skills in order to adequately protect people and property, security guards must know and enforce rules and regulations to prevent criminal activity before it happens.
• Monitor points of access in a building or property to allow entry only to individuals with the correct identification or authorization. In some situations, such as public events or crowded areas, they walk among visitors to promote order and provide a visible presence that deters safety issues.
•Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs).
•Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
Work Environment and Schedule
• Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities.
• Open availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed (overtime occurs).
• Work various shifts and Holidays as assigned.
• Opportunities for mobile patrol via bicycle or patrol vehicle.
Qualifications
• Must have High School diploma, GED equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Must be a US citizen or a Permanent Resident
• Must have non-expired California State Security Officer License

Specific Requirements
• Be a minimum of 18 years of age;
• Possess courteous behavior and able to interact and manage contact with the general public.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent;
• Fluent in both the written and spoken English language.
Certification Requirements
• BSIS active guard card
Great to have but not required
• First Aid CPR/AED required for some positions
• Driver’s License
